Artist's Description

A lone Coyote was searching our neighborhood for food. A photographic capture was placed on a digital background which was then manipulated with an impression finish. The background used a Jai Johnson image.

The coyote appears often in the tales and traditions of Native Americans—usually as a very savvy and clever beast. Modern coyotes have displayed their cleverness by adapting to the changing American landscape. These members of the dog family once lived primarily in open prairies and deserts, but now roam the continent's forests and mountains. They have even colonized cities like Los Angeles, and are now found over most of North America. Coyote populations are likely at an all-time high. The coyote is more closely related to the common ancestor of wolves and other canids (more "basal") than the gray wolf.

MY ARTWORK: I work in photography and watercolor painting. As you can see from my many Collections/Galleries, I see art and beauty in a wide variety of subjects. My interests vary from natural scenes including unaltered landscapes, to macro photography, to odd and unusual objects (some of which are hard to identify in photos - thus creating interest), to highly digitized abstract art. If you are in need of something special, or see something that you would like altered to fit your decor/style, please send me a private message or e-mail me through this site. If you have any problems on how to mat and frame a print, or have questions on the selection of print finishes available, please e-mail me through this site. You can follow...
