The Brazilian Pepper Tree is native to Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil. It was brought into Florida in the mid-1800 for use as an ornamental large shrub to small tree. This tree is in Orange County, California. Pepper trees can be quite invasive and spread shoot along the ground rapidly. Some trees are fruit bearing.
