Description
We Are Hungry... MOM!
Three baby Great White Egrets, still with feathers growing in, look up at their mother and say "We're hungry Mom, feed us!"
These birds are slightly smaller and more svelte than a Great Blue Heron, and are also often confused with the smaller and stockier Snowy Egret. The Great White Egrets hunt in classic heron fashion, standing immobile or wading through wetlands to capture fish with a deadly jab of their yellow bill. Great Egrets were hunted nearly to extinction for their plumes in the late nineteenth century, sparking conservation movements and some of the first laws to protect birds.

I love how you painted the feathers on the chicks, going every which way. It really portrays the hectic life of a chick.
