Description
Westside passenger and freight station - overview. A small train has just picked up gold nuggets from the mine, and is making a brief stop at this station, before heading to the ore processing facility. Freight waits to be loaded onto the next freight train on its way.
This is a re-creation of an excavation on our outdoor 1:24 scale garden Railroad. The railroad and surrounding area is based on a geologically active volcanic area, and has active volcanes, hot springs and more. There are over 70 scale structures and 300 scale people and animals on the layout. Seven trains run simultaneously, and there are many scenes with automation. See my Gallery: "The Railroad in My Garden".

This is an incredible layout. I have always liked model railroads and many many years ago I built an N scale layout but never really did much with it. But you have done a fabulous job here and should be really prod of your accomplishment . . . I do have a couple of friends whose basements are one huge layout similar to yours although only limited to maybe a 100 ft x 100 ft . . .
